Most important information upcoming Q2 RadarView Update

Below you can find most important features that are ready to be deployed so far. Please note that release of this update is planned by the end of Q2, but may be delayed for any reason.

Main changes

Added option for any user to report missing/incorrect data

Feeders/Testers are able to highlight their chosen plane.

Added admin panel for Admins to manage reports and users

Tried to fix issue with OpenAIP not showing up on RadarView (on ATCView works fine) - still WiP

Added feature flags for some not-ready functions

Implemented Redis for trails storage (last 6 hours by callsign)

Added option for users to delete their account - for Patrons, account will be scheduled for deletion

Rewritten Privacy Policy, included account deletion procedure

Introduced Terms of Use

Optimized ADSBMixer for better data handling

Gave up on ads (thanks to stupid requirements of 85+ words on the page)

Removed unnecessary logs

Fixed critical vulnerabilities causing memory leaks (multiple issues)

Global Fixes:

fixed location issue on iOS

fixed scrolling issue on Safari

fixed device overheat issue (seriouosly) - issue caused by storing trails in LocalStorage

fixed issue with Feeder account activation

ATCView Fixes:

Fixed issue with "A" button doing nothing - show all planes button moved to "*"

Fixed performance issue with navpoints and airspaces

Miscellaneous

Performed a migration of main database to more powerful engine & server

Improved overall RadarView performance

PayPal integration is compliant with PCI DSS and GDPR (WiP).

Known Issues

OpenAIP on RadarView may not work. Issue is with rate limits on OpenAIP side. Enabled caching, but still working on it. Works like a charm on ATCView.

PayPal Integration - it got much trickier than I expected, work is still in progress.
